Confidentiality

Counselling offers the opportunity to talk and express emotions freely, safe in the knowledge that everything stays confidential. As a professional counsellor and a Member of The National Counselling Society, I keep all of your information strictly confidential.
However, there are two exceptions to the complete confidentiality which are:
Supervision - In line with good practice and under the code of ethics of the NCS I receive regular supervision from an experienced supervisor who also maintains the same level of confidentiality.
Danger of Harm - If I am concerned that you are in danger of harming yourself or someone else (particularly children) I may need to refer to another professional. I would always seek to discuss this with you first.
